The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to your community.
SASSA will be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed with regard to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office focused on service the area regularly. The support place created for intervention encounters a significant inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it hard with the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more means to enable the servicing of all clients and read more enhance use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
